The Gate is Up

Why I am not a candidate for worlds greatest mom!....Lauren fell down the stairs!!! I heard the thud, my heart dropped below the ribs and I knew that sound could only be one thing. I got to the bottom of the staircase in record speed. Lauren was screaming, but I didn't pick her up right away, assessing quickly to make sure every part was moving. She was OK, scared, but OK. Whew!!! The gate is up now and she is climbing all over it. This child is going to get the best of me!
